Effective September 8, 2015, the Ambulatory Care/Outpatient Entrance on University Blvd. (8th Avenue) to the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center will be closed due to construction of the Ambulatory Surgery Improvements Project.

Veterans, Patients, Family Members and Visitors will enter the Medical Center at the 19th Street Entrance during normal hours.Veterans and Guests parking will remain located at 2128 Fourth Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203.

Transportation to and from Parking will drop-off / pick-up passengers at the 19th Street Entrance of the Medical Center.This project will add new functional space and renovate existing space.

Construction is scheduled to start Fall 2015.  Completion is scheduled for early 2017.
